Elena Arzak

Elena Arzak (b. 1969) is a Basque chef who serves as joint head chef of Arzak, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant in San Sebastián, which she leads alongside her father, Juan Mari Arzak. Her cooking is rooted in the new Basque cuisine tradition, blending the region's deep culinary heritage with contemporary techniques and creative experimentation. In 2012, she was named Best Female Chef in the World by The World's 50 Best Restaurants. Her collaborative work with her father is documented in the cookbook *Arzak + Arzak* (2020), which offers insight into the restaurant's innovative approach to Basque gastronomy.
